  • Atrial Fibrillation Due to Right Atrial Compression from Diaphragmatic Invasion of Hepatic Leiomyosarcoma, Blerina Asllanaj and Ann Wierman, J Am Coll Cardiol. 2023 Mar, 81 (8_Supplement) 3554. Case: 80-year-old female presented with worsening dyspnea. Electrocardiogram revealed atrial fibrillation and cardiac biomarkers were unremarkable. TTE showed compression of the RA and CT chest and abdomen demonstrated right pleural effusion and elevated right hemidiaphragm due to large hepatic mass.

IPM is a rare phenomenon that represents 1% of metastatic melanomas. Patients with melanoma and distant metastases have a median survival of less than 1 year. Differentiating pancreatic metastases from a primary malignancy is challenging, but it is essential for optimal treatment and can influence whether surgical or non-operative management is feasible.

We present a case of ischaemic stroke in the context of polyneuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy, monoclonal gammopathy and skin changes (POEMS) syndrome associated with cerebral vasculitis as confirmed by imaging. There is little information on the prevalence of cerebral vasculitis in POEMS patients, and we found only one previous report of such case in the literature.
